the first round was an aptitude test. HR was very much helpful and of coordinating nature.
after clearing the first round I was called for a second round which was technical round (face to face).
the guy asked me nothing but just gave me a code to write which was very much tough. hardly any fresher can solve.

he asked me to compare two string collections.
a comparison will happen if and only if both the strings are alphabetic and not alphanumeric. if the result is true, store that string in an array and sort it in an ascending order.

Interview
I applied through staffing consulting. It took 1 day.
This interview was a series of lies.
I asked the consultant that, whether Ness technologies will match to my expected salary. He reassured me for that. Called many times until I reached the venue. There were more than 100 people. It was walk-in(The consultent told me that it is a scheduled interview). I called that guy about it, he said it is scheduled interview. As I had traveled so far I attended that interview. First round was easy. Interviewer asked questions from core java, web services, problem solving. When I solved the algoritham question interviewer was not able to understand the code. I had to guide through step by step and also dry run the code.
Then HR told me that I am through the technical discussion and had HR discussion and salary discussion. She also told me that there will be a client round which is a formality. This interview will happen on skype and she will send me the link tomorrow.
She never called me back after that nor did I get any mail. I called her and asked about it. She said they are not able to match my expectation, and they can only give offer which matches to my current salary. I said ok, please send the offer for that(just to check if that is the actual reason). She started giving reasons, that your experience is not that much. You fall in different bracket. blah.. blah..
Guys, be aware of these fake interviews, they just want to show numbers of interview conducted for their appraisals. Rather ask for telephonic round and have a clear salary expectation with the comp HR and not with the staffing consultants...
