I was contacted by a recruiter. I submitted my cover letter and resume, followed by a multi-page questionnaire that asked job-specific questions. I wasn't particularly looking for a job, and I made that clear as I didn't want to waste their time. My intention was to see if this was as good of a fit as it seemed to be on paper -- and if that was the case, then I would be interested in taking a job at NGS. On paper it seemed like a perfect fit, and I was over-qualified for the position. They offered a great salary and benefits too, which is always a good incentive. So I wanted to see it through. I interviewed with two people simultaneously -- they were kind and asked pretty basic questions, nothing too challenging or out of the box like some of the reviews on here had stated. They did however, take themselves verrrrry seriously, and made multiple comments about how they have high standards and strive for perfection -- which for me, felt a little odd -- it's not like I said anything that would indicate i'm not into that, so it just felt weird, like they wanted me to verify that I was a perfectionist or something. I left the interview thinking that they would be micromanagers and it wouldn't be enjoyable to work for them. The organization is so big and so different by department that this shouldn't be indicative of the entire organization, this was just my experience.
