I applied online. I interviewed at National Geographic Society (Washington, DC)
Interview
In 2023, I gathered most interns went through a two to three-part interview process, on average. I personally went through two, one with the direct team and one with an HR representative. The interviews were short and the questions were directly relevant to the internship position's requirements and the candidate's interests/prior experience. All interviewers were pleasant and casual in their demeanor. Nothing to be scared about, although the program is highly competitive. So, come prepared and have a strong why behind your desire to participate.
Thorough and very accessible! Everyone is very open and friendly, and it's a low stress process if you come prepared. The expectations for candidates are high in the best way
