Interview
Online Application, Online Tests, Phone Interview which involved a few basic questions and then an assessment in store for about an hour and a half where you just help customers, tidy up and work on fitting rooms until the manager has seen enough to make a decision. They then told me then and there whether I'd got the job.

Interview
I was referred by my manager at the time to go help at the store as they were struggling due to short staff. Having no idea they were looking for a manager, they saw how I worked and what difference I made in a few days so they invited me for an interview for the position.

Question 1
How would you reduce stock loss from the stockroom point of view?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NEXT (Tamworth, England)
Interview
Telephone interview was fairly easy they asked a couple of questions and just had a general chat for 10 minutes.
Team assessment - where do I start, I was dumped on the shop floor and asked to put clothes from the fitting room back which I did then one customer came in so I asked if she needed help, she said no and walked off. Then I was put on kidswear and buddies up with a woman who walked off and I was left on my own helping customers and tidying the shop floor. Manager came back and said I need to work on my customer service rather than tidying. Well she wasn't even there to see how many customers I helped, no one was. I was dumped on the shop floor and forgotten about for an hour! Don't waste your time with this appalling company, they mention customer service but need to take a look at themselves as a company.
