Speaking to customers on shop floor, picking out outfits you like. Have to be confident greeting customers and approaching people, trying not to be too nervous
Only got the job 3rd time round due to nerves
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NEXT (Coleraine, Northern Ireland) in Jul 2020
Interview
Really quick phone interview a few days after applying, very easy questions. I was invited in for an assessment with one other girl that week - had to tidy the stock floor and notice things that were out of place e.g. clothes in the wrong size order. Also had to approach customers and ask if they needed any help, everyone usually says no anyway. I got given a £10 gift card at the end of the assessment which was really kind!
Within 5 days I received a phone call saying I got the job, which I wasn’t expecting since I felt like my “look” didn’t really fit the NEXT aesthetic.
