I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal in Apr 2016
Interview
I applied online through the Campus 2 Career program portal in early February and someone contacted me for an interview at the end of February. I interviewed with a very high up employee who was very nice and basically gave me an overview of what the position would be and asked how I fit. I heard back two weeks later via a phone call that I got the position.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in Apr 2016
Interview
I interviewed with two different marketing departments for an internship - not sure if this is the norm. If you want to work here, utilize linkedin. If your resume is sent through by an employee, it will be a huge help. If you can't find a connection, the college relations staff are receptive to linkedin inquiries because it shows initiative and passion about the company. I first received a link to complete a video interview - it's definitely awkward, but practice in front of the mirror a few times and it'll be fine. After this step, it is imperative to consistently follow up with the HR person who emailed you, otherwise your video will never be viewed. Eventually (more than a month later) I interviewed over the phone with a manager from a department, and then had another phone interview with two other managers from the same department. Come prepared with insightful questions and be sure to research your interviewers' backgrounds. Shortly after that interview, I received another email from a different department to interview with them, and went into the office for that one. At this point, it is also extremely important to follow up with anyone who interviewed you AND hr again. About two weeks after my first interview, I got an offer. I waited a few days to hear from the second department, and then I just decided to accept the first one. Good luck to all!

Question 1
How do you keep up to date with the latest marketing trends?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (Universal City, CA) in Jul 2015
Interview
Process took nearly 4 months of off/on again calling. Just when I thought they had written me off, I would get a call setting up the next interview. This is not a complaint, as the team is small and busy. They vett their people very carefully and only let a select few onto the team. Worth the wait.
