I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (Universal City, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
I'm sure you have heard it's a long process. Make sure you are willing to wait a good 5-6 months. The position pays just a touch more than minimum wage, but receives over 2,000 applicants. You apply first online: standard work history, cover letter etc. But you must also answer two essay questions and define yourself in a tweet. Then after 2-3 months (depending on when you applied) you are invited to an online interview with yourself. You record yourself answering about four questions and have one opportunity to rerecord. After another month, you may hear that you've made it to the final four hour panel interview. This consists of a panel group interview with about 7 candidates and 4 officials, followed by a smaller group interview with 3 candidates, than an individual interview, and finally a two minute speech following guidelines that are sent out 48 hours prior to the interview.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in Jan 2016
Interview
I had a direct interview with my employer. It went really smooth. It was mostly questions about my resume and work experience. We also discussed a lot about what the job entitles. I was shown the work space I would be working in too.
