I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (Stamford, CT) in Aug 2017
Interview
Was introduced to items about the job with fellow candidates then was called in by different producers to discuss my background. Was asked to play out how a phone call with myself and a possible guest of the show would go. Was asked about my location and how they would impact the strenuous hours.
The first interview is with an HR representative and it is your basic "tell me about yourself" interview. HR then decides to move you to the second round of interviews where someone from a specific area of the newsroom interviews you and asks you to elaborate on a specific skillset that pertains to the position (i.e. production, producing, sports)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (Philadelphia, PA) in Feb 2016
Interview
I had a phone interview and talked about my experience and what I expected from the internship. I also had to answer problem solving questions. I had previously applied online and had to write a very detailed cover letter.
