Hirevue type video interview, was never contacted for follow up interview. The questions were specific to the position and about NBCUniversal in general, as well as some behavioral questions. It was pretty straightforward, for the most part.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why NBC? What do you hope to gain from this internship?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in Sep 2020
Interview
It was easy, self-explanatory questions. I was prompted with several questions and then had about a minute to respond. I think for my internship, there were maybe four or five questions asked, and they were mainly behavioral.
The "video interview," while efficient from an HR perspective, was extremely impersonal and awkward. Having to watch yourself give the interview and then no do-overs is excruciating. I understand that they receive thousands of applications but if Disney (which uses the same application hub) can find the time to do a phone interview, so can NBC Universal.
