I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at NBCUniversal in Jan 2016
Interview
She was nice and friendly and asked about my past experience. She also asked about what qualities I had that set me apart from other candidates. She explained the job in more detail and also told me of the salary. It was a two part interview and they asked me to come back and interview with someone else.

Asked about my past experience that would be relevant to the job.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal in Feb 2018
Interview
The recruiting team on the news side are terrible people. They are obsessed with themselves and are petty. If you say the wrong thing they will hold it against you for years despite recommendations from people in the company. It is a very recruiter heavy company unlike almost anywhere else. I learned actual hiring managers wanted to hire me and the recruiters said no. If they keep acting like this they are going to get sued. Scrap the team and start over.
I was contacted out of the blue. I guess I had filled out an online application at some point, and they found my contact info through the archive. I only interviewed once, and it was pleasant, easy going. They called to tell me I got the job a few days later.
