I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Menards in Dec 2011
Interview
The interview I went to was an open interview and I landed the job on the spot. I showed determination by admitting I would skip my other job just so I could take the drug test, and he liked that.

Question 1
How many years do you think you'll be with the company
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Menards (Maplewood, MN) in Feb 2013
Interview
They were so desperate for people, they will just ask what your schedule is like & whether or not you plan to stay long. That's all they care about. Because once they know you're available and are willing to pretty much live at menards, they don't care about anything else. My interview consisted of only those 2 questions.

Question 1
What department do you want to work for? There is seriously too much to choose from.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Menards (Council Bluffs, IA) in Jun 2010
Interview
After turning in an application, I was immediately given an interview. I was recommended by a family member who was a former employee for 5 years. The interview was easy, consisting mainly of question such as "What is your ideal work place environment?" and "How long do you plan working at Menard's?" At the end of the interview I was given instructions for setting up a drug test appointment and told that once the results came back I would be hired.
