The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Mayer Brown in Aug 2008
Interview
First went through the on-campus recruiting program and had a screening interview that lasted about 30 minutes. Then I got a call to go fly to the office in New York for in-person interviews on-site. I had about 4 interviews with different people, and then lunch interviews. The whole process took about 4 hours or so. I received a call with news that I had gotten an offer about a week later.
I applied online. I interviewed at Mayer Brown (Houston, TX)
Interview
3 rounds of interviews with 2 interviewers each. Fairly soft ball questions. The interviews went well, but I did not have the grades they were looking for, so I did not get an offer.

Question 1
Why should we hire you instead of another candidate?
The interview process was fairly standard, although the interviewing attorneys did not seem interested in conducting the interview from the jump. It seemed as if they were trying to conclude the interview as quickly as possible.

Question 1
They asked about what practice area I would be interested in and what experience I had to support that interest.
Interviewed for about 20 minutes with a recruiter then 40 mins with 2 partners. All parties were very friendly but also professional. Overall was a very good interview experience. This was for a 1l summer associate position.
