Mastercard Principal interview questions

Had a referral from an employee (SVP), and I received an automated email letting me know to look out for another email with availability for an interview. Within hours, received the email and an interview was scheduled promptly with a time that worked for me. I met with a person in the UK (global role though I'm based in the US). She was shocked to hear that I hadn't spoken to any recruiter. The interviewer was kind and asked a few probing questions, but understood I was more than qualified for the job. She also informed me that she's leaving the company in a couple weeks. We ended the interview after 45 minutes. However, then NOTHING. No response or follow up. After 2 months, I was finally able to get a response from a recruiter saying that the position had been filled. What a joke of a process and failure from recruiting...
