I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard in Mar 2025
Interview
I had a screener interview with HR. I was told on this interview that they would like me to interview with the hiring manager and would contact them during the same day, so I should expect an email by EOD. Since this was a Thursday I assumed the week had gotten in the way and maybe I would only hear about it next week. On Monday afternoon I get an email asking if I had received the case study for my interview with the HM. I hadn't received a case study nor any email regarding an interview. I was then told I should meet the HM in person on Wednesday morning, which didn't work for me so I tried to propose a different day. However, the HM would only be in Portugal for two days and she really wanted to meet in person. Unfortunately, although I tried moving my schedule around, I wasn't able to reschedule some meetings due to the short notice but I was willing to meet via conf call on the next days. Then I get an automated reply saying they had moved on with other applicants and only when I emailed them they replied that "after thinking thoroughly, they had decided that they really wanted someone who spoke Spanish fluently" (something that was not mentioned as mandatory in the job description and had been answered during the screening interview). All in all, I am glad I didn't change my schedule around to meet with the HM only to have this happen, but the whole process just felt very disorganized.
Very monotone and not engaging at all , clearly irritated at the entire process. Felt very uncomfortable and ended it early . Other people in process were fine this was the hiring manager.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is the first thing you do when going to launch a new product.
The interview had few steps - hr call, hiring manager, and home assignment which you need present to the forum. The process was quite clear, but hr didn't take responsibility for the process - didn't call at the scheduled time, didn't send the link for the meeting, after that I had to check with her if we are moving forward or not, a little disappointed with such company

I interviewed at Mastercard (Copenhague, Hovedstaden)
Interview
The process was very formal. First, a basic recruiter interview. Then, two team interviews before offer process. Not much room for negotiation. All in all a good experience. Would recommend.

Came from D2C companies. They asked how I'd handle B2B or B2B2C cases.
