I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Marshalls (Colorado Springs, CO) in May 2015
Interview
I got an interview after turning my application in only 2 days earlier. I came in, it lasted about 20 minutes, and then had to come in for a second interview the next morning, which only lasted about 10 minutes. It was kind of a waste of time to have to come in twice for such short periods of time. Super easy questions. They barely even asked me about myself, which made me feel like they just didn't really care who they were hiring. I like to be able to have a conversation with potential employers and this was more like attending a presentation on Marshalls. It's pretty easy to get a job here though, it seems, so if you're just looking for something immediate, go for it. I was offered a job and worked there briefly before something better came along.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Marshalls (Evanston, IL) in Aug 2011
Interview
Printed out job application, walked into store I wanted to work in, submitted to operation manager. Received a call a week later from admin coordinator to set up interview. After successful interview, clear background check, and good reference check, attended orientation a week later with other new hires.

Question 1
How would you handle a "rough" customer? What is customer satisfaction to you?
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Marshalls (Virginia) in Jun 2015
Interview
I walked in & asked for an application, filled it out, & gave it back. I actually spoke to a manager but she wasn't the hiring manager & she asked me some details about my application & said the hiring manager would give me a call if she liked what she saw. I called about a week later & spoke to the hiring manager who said she wasn't reviewing applications yet & would call me at a future time if she did. She called me about 2 weeks later to set up an interview which went well. She called me to set up another interview with the store manager & the store manager offered me a position. I'm in college & she was really lenient as far as me coming back for breaks even though I wasn't sure if I'd be leaving at the time. I dressed professionally for both interviews (a dress, heels, etc.) The people working there were all really nice & helpful & welcoming.
