I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Marsh (Des Moines, IA) in Aug 2012
Interview
The first interaction was via phone when I was waiting for an important family call and mistakenly answered it. I wasn't looking for roles nor had been applying anywhere. If the call had not come from the actual company's internal HR recruiter who informed me she was asked to contact me directly (versus a random headhunter) I would have said I'm late and to email me. She discussed a higher level role that would give me starting responsibilities I would otherswise not see for a couple years (per current co min time rules). I then had two in person interviews with the hiring manager and then a formal phone then written offer from the HR person who first called me.

Question 1
what is your learning style or preference? Would your former employers say you pick things up at a
Moderate pace, sometimes rather quickly or it depends on what you are learning? Do you find you it more helpful to job shadow someone performing your tasks once through or starting the task on your own using utilizing a summary reference guide then asking questions after you've exhausted all possibilities?
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Marsh (New York, NY) in Aug 2015
Interview
The interview process was a bit lengthy as the duration was 4 months. I experienced 5 interview over the 4 months. All interviews were prompt and a pleasant experience. I thought the interviews provided a great opportunity for both parties to learn about each other and I can appreciate that MMC takes the time to find the right person.
I first had a brief phone screening and then completed a video interview through an app called hirevue. To be honest the video interview was pretty awkward and I did not think I did well. I did receive a phone call about two weeks later to go to the office and interview one on one. The interviewer was extremely nice and personable and all we really did was go over my resume. The majority of the interview was conversational once we got past my resume and skills. It seems that they are really looking for strong interpersonal skills. Regardless of whether I am extended an offer I would definitely say that it was an extremely pleasant experience.

Thank you for providing your feedback. The video interview can be a little awkward at first but it sounds like you did better with it than you thought.
