Interview
Resume submitted by one of the recruiting firms. Got shortlisted and scheduled for a written exam. After that followed by technical interview on various java, j2ee related technologies for about 2 hours. Got selected in the technical round and scheduled for a brief conversation about the current position and expectations with the HR manager.

Interview
You can contact any professor whose research you are interested in or search through the listings on the UROP website and then contact the supervisor from there. After responding, the supervisor will probably set up a time for an interview so you guys can discuss your interests in the research and what you can contribute. They will also make sure that you might all the requirements for the position and will probably ask you to send them a resume that you will discuss at the interview.

Via Mail. Inquired if any positions available, specified skills. Talked on telephone with potential employer and got an offer in the mail a couple of weeks later. Very easy
