Interview
If you get an interview here, you are most likely going to be accepted as long as you can carry on a meaningful conversation about your own research.
It is more of a "recruitment" strategy, since they know most of us getting interviews have lots of options. This is for Dept. of Biology
I applied online. I interviewed at MIT (Cambridge, MA) in Nov 2023
Interview
I was invited to a Zoom interview with the hiring manager and search committee. A few days later, I was invited to come onsite for a 3 hour interview with different members of the office. They even provided lunch. I was really impressed by their process and the group as a whole. Unfortunately I didn't get the job, but based on their courteousness and thoroughness it seems like a great place to work.
Good process, very hard questions. Some answers beyond expectations. Friendly staff and smooth process. Highly recommend to meet the smartest people on the plant. Enjoy every piece of the entire interview process and flow
