I applied in-person. I interviewed at Lush (Gosford) in Jun 2013
Interview
Handed in my resume to the Assistant Manager and was selected with 6 other girls for an instore interview. We sat down, drew pictures and pitched products to each other. There was even a scavenger hunt! Even though I got the job, I wished we were being hired based on skill rather that JUST personality. Felt bad for some of the other girls who had a more quiet, calm nature that would have been good for LUSH. Took 2-3 weeks to get back to me because they were swamped with work.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Lush in Oct 2014
Interview
Gave my CV and Application Letter in store and it took two or three days for me to get an email back requesting I go to a group interview a few days after that with a name tag I made for myself
The group interview had about 30 people, all the staff were welcoming and it was really fun! Not like an interview at all. They ask you to say a few things about yourself: hobbies, studies etc.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked us to mould some FUN into anything we wanted and then to link it back to Lush. It was such a broad question with such little time that it threw us all off a bit.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lush in Sep 2014
Interview
i had to give in a personal statement A4 size, and it could be as fancy as i want!
i made a statement giving brief details of myself and why i want to work at lus, i included little pictures to explain a word and printed it on pink paper
i got a call back a few days later for a hiring party
there was 30 people in ours and we were split into groups, my group had 4 girls.
we then went around to a colleague that demonstrated a specific area of their expertise, hair, body, scents, face and bath.
remember to pay attention to how they sell it to u (not word to word but memorize a little as u will be selling later)
you are then individually told to sell a product to a colleague that demonstrated, the colleague i chose was being a 'difficult' customer but u just smile, say what you know and give options of other products dont just stick to what you are selling.
overall was a fun process.
i have been called in for a shop trial a week later so fingers crossed.
