I applied online. I interviewed at Lush (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2018
Interview
We had a group assessment where there were 3 activities.
Firstly we had to get into pairs and demonstrate using a product on each other as if they were a customer whilst reciting ingredients in the product and why they are good etc.
Secondly we got into small teams and selected a gift box based on what the customer was looking for - tip, select two so the customer always has the final choice.
Lastly, in our teams we had to demonstrate how to make a bath bomb and all present different steps whilst explaining what we were doing.
The group assessment day was really fun and I got through to the trial shift.
The trial shift was not such a positive experience for me as there were 8 other people on my trial shift as well as actual employees, in one tiny shop. This meant customers were kind of overwhelmed as there were so many people competing for their attention.
We had a checklist of 3 tasks whilst we were being assessed on the shop floor:
1) Demonstrate a product on a customer
2) Demonstrate a wet product (bath bomb)
3) sit a customer down and pitch them 5 different products

Interview
Submitted a cv and cover letter during the recruitment process for temp. staff (sometime in august), was invited to a group interview with around 30 others (of this group I would say 5-10 people were offered jobs), then a trial shift, after which I was offered the position.
