Start - Contact with the talent acquisition was great. She was very professional, friendly and informative. Great communication. Makes you really want to work for Luno.
1st Interview - with 2 x ADL's and 1 x Agile coach.
The interview lasted 30 mins with each asking a question in turn. They didn't ask any follow up questions or want to discuss your examples in any more detail. They asked 9 or 10 questions in total. The agile coach asked a question "can you name as many of the agile principles as you can". I didn't feel like their questions were well thought out or got the opportunity to understand my style, personality or experience. It felt quite formal and was hard to read the panel as there wasn't much conversation.
They did not ask me why I want to work for Luno or if I knew anything about the company.
The 2nd half of the interview was a practical. They invite some engineers from the team to come into the call. The panel go off camera and mute and you are asked to run a session with them. They said a retro, blacklog refinement etc. You only have 10mins to run this session, so I would advise choosing something you can conclude in 10mins as I wasn't able to conclude the session in time and that was raised in the feedback.
2nd Interview - 2 x Engineering Managers
This interview was a lot less formal. The time was split evenly between them asking me questions and me asking them questions. They both came across very friendly. Their questions were what you would expect to be asked in a ADL interview. I felt after this interview they had a great idea of my personality and style.
Pros - the process was very fast from initial discussion to outcome, approx 7 working days.
