Interviewed with four different attorneys in one day, including the head VP in Denver, the head of my group, and two other attorneys in my group. Once I received an offer, I completed the standard company policies on background tests, including a mandatory drug test completed at a local facility. HR was responsive and easy to work with, making the process clear and easy to navigate.

Typical legal interview. Discussed my background, prior legal experience, why I was interested in CenturyLink, and how I could fit in with their needs. No curveballs. Discussed company strategy overall and how the legal department fits in with that. Discussed the setup of the legal groups within the legal department and where I, as potential new person on the team, would fit in and what types of clients I would serve.
seemed generally uninterested in hiring outside their normal hiring channels. I was in a private firm and they only seemed to interview me because they needed to meet a quota.
