I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement in Jan 2016
Interview
I mean they're nice, but you're also competing with other people based on an "objective" point system. They take forever to call you back if you apply only online, but oftentimes that's the only way they'll get to your app in the first place. I applied in early December, got a callback in mid January, got the job/took a drug text in late January, then started working in late February.

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Warwick, RI) in Jun 2015
Interview
I had applied online and contacted a few days later about an interview. The HR woman was very nice and helpful. The interviewer was a man who didn't seem too interested in the interview and rushed through it pretty quickly. Overall not a great experience and didn't have much interest in working there after meeting the manager.

Interview
It was a lengthy process, it took almost a month from the day I applied to the day I was hired for the process to end. I applied online then I was called for interview about 2 weeks later. After that I was called almost 3 weeks later for a drug test and a background check. Mouth swab drug test.
