I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement in Feb 2011
Interview
When I was first hired on at lowe's it was a seasonal position. I went to work everyday and got there early if I could and was never late. They saw how hard I worked so they gave me a part-time position on the stocking crew. 9 months later I applied for the millwork specialist job. It was in a different store. She called me for an interview about 3 days after I applied online. You have to be very positive in these interviews, they ask you alot of things how you handled problems in your past job. You have to try to give as much detail as you can, also they are looking at how well you work with others, (IF YOU ARE A PEOPLE PERSON).

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Knoxville, TN) in Nov 2011
Interview
I received a call from the HR manager to have an interview with her and a separate time to interview with the store manager. Both interviews were "form" interviews - same questions to all applicants. All questions were "Describe a time when you..." type of questions. They had narrowed it down to 3 people before interviewing. My interviews were Tuesday and Wednesday and they said they would make a decision by Friday.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement in Sep 2011
Interview
I was called for an interview after applying online. From start to finish, the interview process was very professional. I was interviewed by the HR manager, and next by the store manager. It was a detailed, common-sense interview, which provided plenty of opportunities for discussion and additional detail. A drug test followed (cheek swab, in-store), and then I was told to wait while the background check was completed (3-5 days). After that time, I got a call from the HR manager, and was offered the job. After many half-ass interviews with other companies, I was very impressed with the process at Lowes, and look forward to working with them. Yea!
