Lowe's Home Improvement interview questions

interview standard questions geared toward customer service mostly situational.

I already work for the company and was an internal candidate. Most stores consider internal candidates before external for a position like this, but not saying all stores. It depends on store management with how many candidates they choose to interview. It is going to be 3 or more. Interview process is the same as all others with Lowe's: wait for the job to close, schedule an interview (sometimes internal candidates just get called in for a random interview - no prep or anything). First interview is with HR Manager, second is with the Assistant Store Manager. They ask the same general, behavioral questions (I had the same interview when I first joined Lowe's and when I applied to move to the front as a Cashier). You finish with one interview then jump right to the second interview. If you're the last candidate being interviewed then they pretty much know who got it right then and there, they just have to get approval from the Store Manager. Smile the whole time and make sure each behavioral situation shows SUPERIOR service to the customer since that's what Lowe's is all about. If you're external and get an offer, you'll have to wait for your background and drug test to finish but when you're external they'll give you a start date, usually two weeks after the offer. Also if you're external it helps to have supervisory experience for the position, but its not a real requirement for Head Cashiers. Good luck!!
