I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Kent, OH) in May 2012
Interview
Applied online for the position. It took a week to hear back from HR then I went in for a one on one interview the next day. Interviewed with the HR associate then the assistant manager of the store. All of the questions were simple behavioral based questions. I was offered a job on the spot and took the drug test three days later at a different facility.

Question 1
Questions were very easy. Tell us about a time you had to multi-task and did you complete all of the tasks.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Ithaca, NY) in Jan 2013
Interview
I applied online to Lowe's. They called me back within two weeks and asked if I would be willing to come in for an interview. I set up a time and came in. The interview was pretty laid back. The HR guy was really nice and seemed like he knew his stuff. I did have some trouble reaching him; I had to call him once or twice, but it seemed like he was always in a meeting or on lunch. After my interview, I waited to hear for them for one to two weeks, called to find out that they were still filling out paperwork, but I was pretty much going to get the job pending a drug test and a couple other preliminaries. I started working within a month of applying to the job.

Question 1
None of the questions were too hard to answer or unexpected. I think my favorite one went along the lines of, "tell me about a time you disagreed with your manager." I really like that one because it's a really sneaky question. So many people just like to complain about bad managers, and since most companies don't like people who complain a lot about management, this is a good tool to separate the wheat from the chaff in that regard.
