I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Leidos (Melbourne)
Interview
Initial interview was with HR on phone. Very positive, quick questions on my experience and stuff. After that panel interview with my line manager and other experienced member. Interview went for an hour, positive and friendly. Mostly asked questions on my previous experience.
The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Leidos in Dec 2021
Interview
Applied online, contacted by Leidos technical recruiter to setup phone interview. Engineering Manager called me, discussed opportunity and day-to-day activities of role. Role I applied for was in San Diego, but hiring manager said that the position requires relocation to the East Coast, so I believe the job posting was misleading.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
General questions about experience, and more in depth questions about certain projects the hiring manager believed were more relevant to the role.
What kind of CAD software do you have experience with and could you describe your expertise?
Straightforward technical questions, nothing out of the ordinary honestly. Leads/management are all very smart. Dont be afraid to ask questions when you dont know something in the interview, they want you to get the job if they are interviewing you .... and tech people love to show off their intelligence lol
