I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Savannah, GA) in Oct 2015
Interview
Short and they seem like they needed people. They will hiring anyone and wanted to keep people making them money. I like the fact that they waste no time to start you on working. And the orientation is paid at least at the place I was at. So hopefully this was very helpful to whoever is reading this. But now that I'm here I'm ready to find something new.that pay is awful
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Calhoun, GA) in Aug 2014
Interview
The interview process was simple, quick, and easy. A few general questions were asked, and they did not discriminate against new employees. The drug testing did not take long at all (it was a spit test drug screen).
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kroger (Flint, MI) in Mar 2014
Interview
I was asked to meet in an office that overlooks the entire store. Talked with the manager that spent the most time on the front line. She was a very friendly lady that felt weary about hiring me due to my expertise in computer technology. Despite that she heard me out and gave me a chance. The entire interview felt more like talking with a new friend than an interview. Not the stuffy sort of interview you normally get where you have to somehow convince the interviewer that this ordinary job is your dream job. She didn't seem to have any such expectation, just the best interest of Kroger and myself. I have never felt as comfortable at an interview as I did that day.
