Kmart interview questions

I applied online, took an assessment (took about 20 minutes if that), and since I passed I got to choose my interview date online. When I went in I had to go to customer service, everyone seemed nice. And about 10 minutes later was brought back to the HR office. She was smiling at me, asked me how I was. Then started asking me about myself, my available times, and why I deserve the job. She asked me how I would handle the situation of a customer saying that something rang up the wrong price and were becoming frustrated. She asked me how I would handle the situation of getting ready to go to work and my car wouldn't start. Basic questions, then she told me if I got a work permit they would offer me a job. Once I brought that in I had to fill out work on the computer, then I was offered the job.

The hiring process took nearly a month . The interview consisted of me interviewing first with the HR manager and then with the store manager. Questions about my availability and future goals were asked. I was also asked how I would react in certain situations and how I would interact with people.
