Kmart interview questions

The process began with the sales associate job being posted on the job board website Snagajob. Following the links I applied for the job online, consisting of filling out application and agreeing to the standard agreements. After compleeting application I was given a choice of interview times and dates to set up a face to face with the HR director. The interview lasted about thirty minutes and consisted of the typical what would you do if confronted with this situation questions. The interviewer was nice and friendly and seemed as if she had done more than a few, in the end job duties and pay were discused and an offer was made.

I applied online to the two local kmarts nearest to me. I kept calling the one about a mile from my house with the same result. "The hiring manager is on vacation" or "The hiring manager is not in at the moment" and haven't received any calls back. About a week after giving up on calling the one a mile from my house, the other Kmart I applied to, 30 minutes from home, called for an interview. The interview was very easy. Just little situational questions and my availability. The interviewer was REALLY nice and after she interviewed me, she walked to the back to ask the manager if they wanted to do a second interview now but they said "We'll just call her". She put a sticky note on my application and I watched her write "Call" on my application which gave me the impression that they were going to call. She then said "You'll hear from me either Monday or Tuesday." Here it is, a week after she said she'd call me...still no calls. I'm hoping it's only because it was Easter weekend that they didn't call me.
