The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at KPMG in Mar 2008
Interview
The people that I met had a sense of humor and were friendly. I had 2 interviews: 1 on-campus and 1 in the KPMG office. First one was 30 minutes with a senior manager, behavioral. Second was one 30 minute interview with a senior manager, lunch, then another 30 interview with a partner. Both were behavioral as well. It was pretty easy, just be yourself. They don't expect you to understand what auditing is right off the bat.
The process took 2 days. I interviewed at KPMG (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2009
Interview
KPMG first came on-campus and held first round interviews on campus. It was a 30 minute interview with a KPMG audit partner. It was more of a conversation than an interview, I think they just want to see if they like you. After my interview my interviewer said I would probably make it to 2nd rounds and to call him if I changed my mind about audit. I thought that was kind of weird but I was happy to hear that he thought I would make it!
During 2nd rounds, KPMG put us up in a hotel. We had intro and dinner the first afternoon and the following morning we had to do some group teambuilding exercises and then we had 2 30-minute interviews with a partner and a senior manager. Both were extremely nice and easy to talk to. It was really more about talking about my resume and also a conversation. After the interviews, they took us out for lunch!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What's a difficult situation and how did you handle it?
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at KPMG (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2008
Interview
First I had a phone interview, then I had a first round group interview with a bunch of other recruits - behavioral style interview. Then lastly I had an interview with a couple managers, a partner and a senior manager - the basic questions were asked. In all honestly, I wish I had never gotten the job.
