I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners
Interview
1. Very long and detailed online assessment before getting a chance to be interviewed. 2. Got a 1 to 1 interview with case studies and time to introducing yourself (takes about 1 hour)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Some scenarios were given about various customers and you have to suggest what to introduce to each of them.
I applied online. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Reading, Inglaterra) in Jun 2023
Interview
Apply on their website. Do a 30minute scenario online test. The actual interview is split into 2 stages. The first is a group task where you will have 4 scenarios that you have 5minutes to make notes on and then discuss in your group. You don’t need specific John Lewis knowledge it’s more so just general knowledge. The scenarios where for example “a women came to the store looking to get a gift for a friend who’s moving to a different county” in this scenario the most important part is asking about the budget she had available. There was another scenario of a guy looking to get a toy for his nephew who likes construction and painting at school. In the 2nd stage it’s a 1-1 interview.

Question 1
Talk about a time you went above and beyond for a customer? Talk about a time where you stuck to a plan despite the odds against you? What would you say to a customer after a transaction? What are your hobbies?

Interview
Good. The questions can be annoying that they focus on certain types of people I feel. Also, the process around recruitment is long winded which does not help retention much.
