Interview
I had to apply online and then they sent an emailing asking me to choose an interview time on their website. It took just over 2 hours long and there was 8 of us.
First we all had to sit room while we were taken in turns to have our 1 to 1 interviews. The interview was pretty easy, short & calming.
Once everyone had had their interviews, we were put into groups of 3 or 2 and we had to make a booklet with 5 good customer service points, 5 points on how to handle an upset customer and 3 points on how to get good product knowledge. Once we made it we had to present to to the group.
The whole interview/group activity was a great experience and was very calming as well.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Londres, Inglaterra) in Nov 2017
Interview
skill based question interview and ten minute presentation on how I would optimise an particular area on the website for example womenswear. Was given time prior interview to create presentation. I had to apply 3 times before being offered the role.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at John Lewis & Partners (Leicester, Inglaterra) in Apr 2018
Interview
Online questionnaire, in person group interview where we were seated in groups of 4 with an assessor overlooking our discussion. Our group task was to design a leaflet for a new Partner, listing 5 points for Great Customer Service, Handling Complaints and Improving Product Knowledge. We then had to present this to the assessor. Key things to passing this bit is to offer points but don't come across as bossy or dominating. They want to see that you can speak up and are not shy but also listen to others' opinion -- confidence + good communication + team work is what they're looking for in the group interview. Then 1v1 interview.
