This was the worst recruiting experience i’ve ever encountered.
The interview process was fine itself. A recruiting coordinator reached out to me and was communicative throughout the process. I had my first interview with the hiring manager, and was then moved to a technical round. After the technical round, I was asked to have an informal chat with the recruiter. After the chat the recruiter said they wanted to have another hour long interview to ensure that I was a good culture fit. After this final round, the recruiter said they’d reach out with a final decision in 2 weeks.
This is where things got weird. I did not hear back from the recruiter and reached out twice to the recruiting coordinator (as I only had their email) to see if a final decision had been made. After not hearing back for 2 months, I randomly got a text from the recruiter asking if i’d like to get on a call. After scheduling an initial call which the recruiter missed, I worked with them on trying to set up another call after which I was promptly ghosted again.
This was especially funny to me after the recruiter spent the culture fit interview talking heavily about how much they value their candidates. The only thing this recruiters behavior showed me is that the Glassdoor reviews about this company are correct, and you should not walk but run from considering this company. To this day, I do not know if I was rejected but don’t plan on applying to this company again.
Never before have I gotten to the final round of an interview and not been provided a final decision.
If anyone from JFrog reads this, you may want review this incident and see if this has happened to anyone else. At the very least, consider that people are human beings and spend a lot of time on their end to prep and discuss with your company. Have some respect for your candidates.
