A recruiter sourced me for the role. Though I had never heard of JFrog, I am searching so I took the interview. The recruiter spent a few minutes talking about how great the company and CEO are, but shared very little about the product. Once she got into questions, they were overly technical for an initial recruiter call, more a hiring manager type of question. I could see I lost her in the details. While still friendly, the interview turned odd and she was abruptly disengaged. When asked what caught her eye about my background, she responded "your experience looked interesting." Interviews are bi-directional. I could tell there wasn't a fit almost immediately and I should have just called it out.
