I applied online. I interviewed at Insight Global in Feb 2013
Interview
I applied online through my university career services website and received a call back that week for an interview. The first portion of the process is a phone interview with a DM and this part went fine. The guy I spoke with was pleasant and he really answered many of my questions regarding the job. This is where my good experience ended. From there, I was asked to participate in a "in-person" interview at the location I was seeking out. In our conversation I explained that I was driving three hours to their office (because I wanted to relocate). While on my way, the guy I was supposed to interview with calls and says he wants to push the interview 30 minutes early because he had a meeting. I did what I could to speed on the interstate and arrived just in time. From there, I waited in an empty waiting room for 35 minutes (totally negating the reason for me to rush there). The recruiter spent 15 minutes with me and then passed me off to an associate. He actually took the time to tell me about how "people in the past have tricked me into thinking that they're good sales people, but they weren't". In addition, he bragged that 70% of their office was "greek". Having been apart of a fraternity in college, I thought their continued exclusivity of their social circle was laughable. The office was loud and it really didn't seem like much business was going on. Be aware, that most of the positive reviews written for this company are from current employees that posted all their reviews within a couple of months of each other. This company spends as much time defending the claims against it, as it does interviewing you. They really are concerned about image. After my interview, I knew I wouldn't work for this company. I never heard back from either the interviewer or the DM who promised to follow up that next Monday. Insight global really is frat boys and sorority girls making 35k a year and bragging about it.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Insight Global (Charlotte, NC)
Interview
I was referred by a friend to Insight Global. Initially I was called by a corporate recruiter who was awesome to speak with and very helpful through out the process. We set up a time to interview in the office. I spoke with several account managers and recruiters during the two day interview process. Everyone was very friendly, energetic, and very excited about the opportunities Insight Global has to offer. The overall interview process was very positive and a great experience.
