Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter over linkedin and had a brief 10-15 minute phone interview. I then had an interview at the Vienna, VA offices that was also pretty short, and seemed to be relatively easy. I was asked about my background as well as education and questions about my personality.

Interview
I applied through my university's job board for the position of account manager. The next day I received a phone call from a recruiter and had a short preliminary interview. This interview was pretty straight forward as far as preliminary interviews go. It consisted of simple questions just to get to know you/your goals/basic preliminary questions.
A few days later I received a follow up phone call from the recruiter with an invitation to their office for an in person interview. The day before the interview, the recruiter called and told me exactly what to expect during the interview. They informed me it was going to be more of a conversation, and that I should take charge and lead the conversation to show that I was personable and capable of interacting with others.
Upon arrival I was greeted by the recruiter I had been in contact with and was led into a meeting room for the interview. The interview went exactly how the recruiter described it would go. I was interviewed by two separate Insight Global employees. The interview was more of a laid back conversation with the occasional business question like, "why sales?" "why Insight Global?". However, I found some of the questions and topics that were brought up by both interviewers to be somewhat unexpected and unprofessional. They talked about how much money they made and how much money was to be made by someone in this position. Even going so far to emphasize multiple times that one of their colleagues made well over one million dollars last year. In addition to this, one of the interviewers stated how they were still feeling the effects of last night’s decisions. No judgment here because we have all been in that situation, but I was just caught off guard by their openness. After the interviews concluded I was introduced to one of the managers and shown around the office.
The following day I received a phone call from the recruiter asking me to come back for a final in person lunch interview with two of the office managers. Once again the recruiter filled me in on what to expect for the interview but they also informed me of things that I did wrong during the last interview and gave pointers on how to correct this.
The lunch interview went exactly as described with it being more of a conversation sprinkled with business questions. Following the lunch, I was led back to the office and sent on my way.
The following day I received a phone call from the recruiter informing me that they decided to pursue other candidates who they felt were better qualified for the position. Although this was unfortunate news, I found it refreshing that they actually called me to inform me of my rejection instead of an auto generated email.
Overall, it was an interesting experience. I would say they definitely have a different style and process for their interviews than I was expecting or accustomed to. The "work hard/play hard" mentality is definitely on display, but obviously whatever they are doing is working for them as they have been a growing company since their inception.
On a side note, do not expect to be compensated for travel to their office. I drove a considerable distance and was not compensated for mileage or hotel, but the lunch was good so I guess that counts for something.

A little too aggressive, seemed very excited but it was clearly just superficial. Very unprofessional. Made me say hello to about 50 employees. Asked questions about my personal life. Which was weird.
