Interview
I applied in September I had a 30 minute phone interview in November and finally an in person interview in December. Very nice office. I met with 4 of the team members for 30 minutes each, all of them seemed nice and asked basic questions about my experience and background. The only difficulty with the interview was the time length. This is definitely a “culture” driven team. I don’t think experience or background matter. They’re definitely trying to be “different” from the typical corporate process and environment but they’re not. They actually call and tell you that you didn’t get the job. I was excited about the company coming to Memphis and providing so many jobs for the city, but now I’m honestly not sure who those jobs are for and if we stand a chance. I can see diversity and inclusion being an issue for them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about high school. What was your favorite subject and what would that teach say about you?
Thanks very much for taking the time to write feedback on your interview process. I'm glad to hear you are complimentary of the office space. We are very focused on mission and culture, although I'm sorry to hear that you got the sense that experience does not matter as it is also important. Thank you also for bringing attention to diversity and inclusion - it is a key area of focus for us - it's important, and something we are measuring and creating initiatives around.

Interview
When I arrived to Indigo for my interview, I was greeted by a sweet receptionist who offered me coffee or water. I had a host for the day and she was awesome. She gave me an itinerary of the names of the individuals I would be meeting with. I was placed in a meeting room and my first interview was over the phone with a hr recruiter. I then met with the Accounting manager and we discussed my resume. The next individual I met with was an employee that worked in the current role in which I was applying for. Throughout the different meetings, the host with HR would periodically check on me to make sure everything was going great. She was awesome. The last two people I met with were the manager of the accounts payable department and another recruiter. Everyone I met with really valued their role at Indigo and made me want to be apart of such a great company!

Question 1
During the interview they basically inspected every part of my resume. From college up to my previous employer. They wanted to know every task I completed at the various employers. They also got a chance to know who I was as a person.

Interview
Was long and interviewed by all women. None of them even had an agriculture degree or background. Feel like I had plenty of agriculture experience to be passed over for this entry level position.
