I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at IBM (Hyderabad) in Dec 2020
Interview
I interviewd in December,2020. First round was online test, I cleared it and was called by HR the very next day for the technical round. I cleared the technical round and HR called me within a very short notice for the managerial round. It went well and the manager said he will look for a better fit for me. The HR kept on dodging the response for nearly a month and kept saying she doesn't have any update. They didn't give me any formalwritten reply. I was the one following up. One day, I called again and the HR said, we can't find a suitable position for you and it has to do nothing with your technical skills. I found this behaviour totally unprofessional. A clear yes or no would have worked. This is a sick tendency to keep people on hold and not giving written explanations.

Question 1
Python, SQL, Spark, Parquet, Project details, work experience
IBM scheduled an interview without asking for my availability, forcing me to miss class in order to attend as I was completely unable to reschedule it. I was also sent no email in the days following the interview to update me on the status of my application. I had to look at the website to see that I was no longer under consideration. Just an overall awful process.
I applied online. I interviewed at IBM (Giza) in Apr 2026
Interview
First, the interviewer explained the interview steps. Then, he asked me to introduce myself and talk about what I’m currently doing in my job. After that, he asked me some technical questions and situational questions.

Question 1
what's the difference between warehouse and data lake?
I got an online assessment and passed all cases but still got rejected. I felt my background fits but no idea why. Maybe they screens me out after OA anyways
