I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (Greenfield Park, QC) in May 2014
Interview
I found that the interview process was really long for the job itself. However I get that they want to chose carefully the applicants. In all I had 2 real interviews and one last one that was only symbolic with the store manager. The first interview was at a fair in the store, so it was pretty quick. The second was a longer one with the manager of the department that would be interested by you.

I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (Ancaster, ON) in Feb 2012
Interview
I applied during a job fair at the store. I was the only one there who showed up with a shirt, tie and jacket. I was interviewed by the HR Manager. I was told that they would be in touch after the interview. Few day later, I then met with the Assistant Store Manager who then introduced me to the Store Manager. I originally wanted to start part- time. But, both managers were so impressed with my credentials (I was a Chemist for 25 years) that they wanted me to start full-time in the Paint Dept that week. I accepted their offer.
