I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada in May 2016
Interview
Applied on-line and got a phone interview 2 weeks later. After the phone interview they set up an in store interview with the manager. Interview only took about 30 mins and was fairly easy.
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Home Depot Canada (Montreal, QC) in Oct 2012
Interview
A slow timeline to actually get to the interview: several weeks. Interview itself: perfunctory, usual questions and the classic where would you see yourself in five years. Really?!!
The interviewers are painfully glued to their script. The "getting acquainted" video and group session was lame but some effort to communicate. This is a "warm body" recruiting plan but it works in a simple way for this retail arena. Longer term view: there isn't a better competitor any where near this level of success in sales.
So suck it up. Could be better. Could be a whole lot worse.

Question 1
Why do you want to work here? What pay level do you expect? Where would be in five years? What is the corporate tag line?
