I applied through linkedin. HR got back to me in a week or so. Phone call was standard one: discuss the job, cv and suitability for the role. I was invited to an in person interview with the technical manager shortly after. On the day of the interview, I was left waiting for almost 30 mins (the interview was originally planned for 60 mins) with no contact from HR or anyone. The conversation with the hiring manager was fine, honest on what the wanted but obviously rushed because of the time constraint. After that I was given a small project to do at home. I'm quite short with my spare time so after a week I sent the project back. After a day or so the hiring manager asked me for my availability to discuss the project. Two days after that I got an email to give feedback on my experience about the hiring process....
While I understand that my project might not have met their standards, the whole process felt wrong and disrespectful, with no proper follow ups or even a short email.
