I had to complete a home assignment (test task) which, as I was told, is similar to tasks I'm going to face in this role on the daily basis. I received positive feedback on it and after that was involved into four interviews: technical one (no coding), JavaScript (coding), system design (Miro whiteboarding) and executive one (soft-skills)
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HelloFresh in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview process is pretty straightforward (as in Germany): call with a recruiter, homework task for 3-5 hours, then live-coding, a technical interview, afterward system design, and one more behavioral stage.
I passed the homework and it was that time to get links to the next stage, and I started the wait. I was waiting literally 4 full weeks to get 2 (two!) links for the next stages (live coding and technical interview). I've decided to withdraw myself from the following competition because if the business needs a dedicated team to send links and even that fails, then I just can't understand how the rest of the company still works.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Homework: parse some income data and make it in an optimal way, and describe the process and decisions one has made.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HelloFresh (Berlín) in Nov 2023
Interview
The interviews were interesting, mostly regular questions from the real life of a developer.
All interviewers were welcoming and conversations were smart.
Would have accepted the offer if not the requirement to work from the office half a week
