HelloFresh interview questions

I received a prompt email from the recruiter to complete the screening round. It was about 25 minutes & she informed me the hiring manager would make a decision based on her feedback on who made it to the next round. 4+ weeks have gone by, multiple follow-up emails have been sent and not a word. While I fully believe I did not get the role, I was shocked that a company of this size, would have anyone go through a round and completely ghost them. This isn't okay in dating, it shouldn't be accepted when someone's financial wellbeing is on the line.

The interview process started out well - spoke to the recruiter and he passed me on. I had to do 4 more interviews with individuals which were scheduled fast and almost every other day. After I spent 4 hours interviewing- they went radio silent. Come to find out I was the top 2 choice, but the offer was given to the other person. I was told they would contact me if the other candidate rejected the offer. 2 weeks later I reached out and I was told the person declined the offer. I received no follow up or updates and felt to awkward asking if I would be considered for an offer, given I was told I was the second top choice. No update, no communication, just a rejection email for the role. I feel like I wasted my complete time here with this process and it was very discouraging.
