The process involved a screening call with HR, a first interview with the hiring manager, a technical challenge and a case study, and a second round with the hiring manager in order to present the case study. While the experience with HR and the recruiters was really positive and smooth, the same cannot be said for the hiring manager, who was sadly not up for the challenge: - They showed up late during our first interview - They appeared tired and unresponsive, struggling to understand my answers and questions - They were absolutely emotionless, and all they could say at the beginning of our chat was "I am happy it's almost the end of the working day", which I found pretty rude being jobless - During the subsequent round, they misunderstood the meeting's duration and made it last 15 minutes less than it was planned, thus also lessening my chances of presenting my case study properly - They clearly hadn't read nor even opened the case study and looked like they had seen it in the call for the very first time - The feedback they relied to HR, which would have been very useful for me for future reference, was short and confusing. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that I come across a very indifferent and unprepared hiring manager, which makes me guess whether most of them even get proper interview training.
