Eerst doet men een CV-check, dan krijg je Python-test om te voltooien, dan plant men een interview in met een recruiter en vervolgens een interview met Team-manager. Ten slotte een interview met de regiomanager

Question 1
Voorlopig enkel het Recruiter interview gedaan. Volgende stap is het interview met de Team-manager. Tijdens het Recruiter interview kreeg ik gewoon de basisvragen: waarom Hellofresh, Salarisverwachtingen,...
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HelloFresh (Berlín) in Jun 2020
Interview
The overall knowledge capacity of the currently employed staff is a big question. They highly rely on their limited knowledge about any topic and check if you fit in their box of knowledge. Unfortunately if you outsmart them, then you won't get an offer.
It is true that HelloFresh used to be the company of smart people but from my interview, it was very clear that it isn't now.
Interview happened in multi- stages.
1. Recruiter connected to me on a social media job portal and asked me if I am interested in position. Considering the tech stack of my interest, I went ahead with application.
2. Received a phone call on skype for 30 min, where the general exploration discussion happened, and they gave me the technical challenge.
3. Technical challenge was very unorthodox for a DevOps position. They asked to build an api service which performs CRUD operations, the code should be unit tested with high code quality. This should run inside the Kubernetes cluster and everything should be well documented.(This is atleast couple of weeks task and they expect you to finish it in 6-8 hrs)
4. Once you submit, your code would be reviewed by one of the future sub originate and ask for any possible changes inside the code. If everything goes well, you move ahead.
5. Next round would be with couple of future team members,They bombard you with questions of their expertise. They do not really bother about your knowledge, expertises, willingness to learn, understanding, logic, if you answer the way they want probably you'll move to the next round.
I deserved a very solid feedback for rejection but I never really got one, even after following up with HR for several time times. HR is very cold hearted and you'll only be entertained if they see any profit in the conversation, but in my opinion if someone is putting so much efforts in such interview atleast have a courtesy to tell him why he wasn't selected.
I don't have any personal grudges with HelloFresh, but I don't really want someone like me to experience this situation.
The interview process is very standard. The first round is a phone interview talked about myself and HR provided more information about the job. The second round was a take-home Excel test. Once you passed the test, you will be invited to the final onsite interview.
