I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at HelloFresh (Berlín) in Aug 2020
Interview
The process took one month and a half:
The first interview went well; classic questions (i.e., which studies would you pick if you had to launch a new product, questions were practical-oriented.)
HelloFresh offered me to attend the 2nd round of interviews and demanded my time availabilities. They took one -month to coordinate the interview (coming back to me after sending an email to the HR). They asked me to solve a case (2 questions, broad topics on evaluating the brand performance and launch of a product.) I did the case (approx. 72 hours of work/30 minutes of presentation). I presented it to the hiring manager, the N+1, or any other team members who couldn't attend the meeting. I got a refusal answer without any feedback as if I didn't pass the first round of interviews. I asked for feedback; I am still waiting, and it has been three weeks from now.
I think HelloFresh can be ashamed of its hiring process. Even though they receive many candidates, hiring people shall always remember they face humans in interviews. People deserve respect.

Interview
I applied for the job online. About a month later I received an email that they want to set up an initial phone screen. The phone screen was 30 minutes and it went well, but it took them about two weeks to initiate next steps. The next steps included a take home test. I did the test and sent it back, but they never emailed me to acknowledge they received it or how I did. I emailed to follow up, but they never replied. It's been about a month and I have not heard from them.
The way a company handles the hiring process is a big reflection on them and whether I want to work for them or not. Given that I not only spent time prepping for interviews and participating in them, but also spent time doing their take home test, they could have the decency to respond and close out the process.
Hopefully they do better in the future and recognize that a quick email, even with bad news, would leave candidates feeling like they did not waste all their time applying and interviewing. Please respect our time as we respect yours, job hunting is already hard enough without companies leaving us in the lurch to try and decipher what went wrong or why.

Interview
A recruiter for HelloFresh reached out to me. They missed the first interview call they scheduled with me. Not a big issue on its own. Scheduling conflicts happen. When they emailed me to reschedule they suddenly wanted me to complete a 2.5 hour technical assessment before speaking with them. They rescheduled the call and sent me the technical assessment link. I completed the assessment to the best of my ability but some of the test cases failed so I got a rejection email. In the rejection email the recruiter said that unfortunately they had to cancel but then they referenced the wrong date for the rescheduled call. So I guess if I had passed I still wouldn't have been contacted correctly? In hindsight the first red flag was that the recruiter consistently spelled my name wrong.
