Terrible candidate experience, toxic culture, STAY AWAY! Fear and being beaten up is very much a part of the lexicon!! It's been one of the worst candidate experiences in my 20+ years career. The interview was remote and was conducted by a panel of 2 (VP + SVP). From the outset I was lectured and talked at with one of the interviewers being especially hostile. At the end of the intro, the SVP said the following: if at any point during the interview you want to stop, just THROW UP THE WHITE FLAG and we'll stop. When asked about their challenges, one of them mentioned bad engineering practices. Then, he continued saying that engineers across the organisation FEAR getting an email from him pointing to problems in their code. At the end of the interview, the same SVP thanked me for my time saying it is not easy to be BEATEN UP by 2 people for 90 minutes.
