I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HelloFresh (Berlín) in Jul 2021
Interview
The first interview was directly with the manager, no HR.
They were looking for a senior role, and I applied because I have good experience with three areas of security and not so much in others. I mean, I've never done it but I'm eager to learn.
The interview was very poorly made. The manager was clearly in a hurry. He told me that they were looking for a person that has a lot of experience in one of the areas that I don't (the job description listed all the areas, so that's why I applied). He started asking questions that I could not answer... I mean, that's why the first interview should be HR: to filter inadequate candidates like me.
It was not a comfortable experience, and a waste of time for both of us: I would not have applied if I would've known that was JUST for that area and not the others, specially for a senior position.
McKinsey like case study, intense and required a fair bit of improvisation on the spot. The case study was looking at the break even analysis for meal delivery in a certain location.

Interview
Very human-centric. Be prepared for a long, yet well-organized and transparent application process. The interviews are more on the same eye-level dialogues, so there is not a specific scheme to be exactly followed in preparation. Best is just to be yourself, as the process wants to evaluate the compatability from both sides!
In total the process consist of 4 stages:
1) 1h phone call with the hiring manager: relaxed first get to know each other. The manager asked questions about why I chose certain former career paths and what my motivation is for procurement and HelloFresh
2) Excel task to be completed in 90 min (it makes sense to have at least an intermediate Excel crash course beforehand or to get familiar with the most common functions)
3) 1h interview with two members of the team: in depth interview about how I would envision my daily life as a JPM. So lots of questions about how I would approach certain tasks within the team. They were very specific and job-related. Hence, left a good impression what the potential role is all about.
4) 1 hour behavioral interview with the VP: the last stage is all about whether you match with HelloFresh's company culture.
What I like most about the process is, that it leaves room for you to explore HelloFresh, so go and ask a lot of questions! :-)
