Interview
As it was just an interview for an internship the interview was rather general. Started with a short phone interview with the HR. After which if you're successful, the HR will arrange an interview for you with one of the managers of the department. The interview with the manager was both general and a bit technical as they had to make sure you know exactly what they did on a daily basis, eg trading.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HSBC in Apr 2011
Interview
I applied through a friend then i got contact by a HR after a week. There were two round of interviews. First was with an HR manager and second was with a director. The interview with the director was pretty technical. They asked a lot related to interest rate swap, FX swap, Spot Rate, Forward Rate. Since it was a global market intern, this type of interview makes sense.
